Below are descriptions of the stencil materials we cut. We can cut a wide range of sizes, 1/8" to 24" characters, logos, arrows, other symbols, etc. On the RFQ form please tell us your text, character height or space available, and the material you would like to use. Oilboard and Mylar are the two most common stencil materials.

Oilboard Stencils
(also known as Stencilboard)

• .015" Thick oil treated tagboard
• Can be used many, many times

Mylar Stencils
(Milky Plastic)

• .005" - .014" Thick plastic material
• Extremely durable
• Can be cleaned with solvent & used over and over again

Polyethylene Stencils

• A strong .008" thick polyethylene with low tack reusable adhesive
• Durability limited to 6-10 uses
• Allows stencil to stick briefly to the item to be stenciled, no tape or magnets needed
• Great for marking pipe or hard to mark surfaces

Magnetic Stencils

• .020" Thick magnetic stencil
• Marks drums, pipes, steel, railcars, etc.

1/8" Plastic Stencils

• A material heavy enough to be used on a parking lot or warehouse floor

Screen Printing Stencils

• Time saving stencil that can be applied to the screen and used to put names on T-shirts
